The Idea
The CoSy Festival is an art and music festival at Dornburg Castle near Magdeburg. CoSy is an acronym for "Contrasts in Symbiosis" and aims to merge contemporary music with modern art and culture in a historic building.
Professional and up-and-coming artists will be given the opportunity to present their music on several stages in the castle and its park. In addition, Creator e.V. will present a parallel art exhibition on several hundred square meters in the castle.
In cooperation with local and national associations and collectives, we want to highlight contrasts, be it a young cultural scene in an old cultural heritage, technological modernity with ecological sustainability or the tranquillity of the rural region with innovation from the pulsating city.
We want to show possibilities and ways in which these can be brought into symbiotic harmony.

Around 75% of CO2 emissions at festivals are caused by car travel. The entire CoSy Festival team deeply cares about ecological sustainability and environmental protection. That’s why we’d be absolutely thrilled if you chose not to travel by car and instead took advantage of one of our alternative options. We’ll be organizing several group bike tours from Magdeburg! More info on that coming soon.
